Do Opks Get Lighter After Ovulation
In trying to conceive.
Do opks get lighter after ovulation. Unfortunately had a miscarriage 6 weeks. A standard opk is calibrated to detect the onset of the lh surge. I came off pill in march had one cycle then got pregnant as one eve got a clear positive on ovulation test stick so dtd and got pregnant. You may have a few dodgy days where they get lighter but i have always been able to tell when i ve ov d.
Ovulation does not necessarily happen after the opk turns negative. Curious what others post about this. â i know that i will usually have a positive in the next day or so. Usually the day after you ovulate but there will still be a very faint line because lh is still in your bloodstream.
Remember the opk is only positive if the test line is as dark or darker than. If you can do 2 tests a day then do it. Once positive it means that your surge has started and that the egg will be released shortly after. Other months that line will get lighter then darker.
â i test twice a day until o and then once a day after that. â the strips usually have a light line from af to about cd9 and then get a tad lighter until about cd13 when it s almost as dark as the control line. Typically the egg is released about 12 to 36 hours after the surge but this timing can vary greatly denoted on the graph above by the red shaded area showing when ovulation can. However according to most of the woman on here you should be aware that if your opk ovulation predictor kit after a mc miscarriage but before your 1st af the readings might not be correct due to major hormone changes.
I have even used them to test towards the end of the tww thinking it may give me a pos. Usually with opk s i find that i will start off around cd10 and have just one line then over the next few days a 2nd line starts to feintly appear getting darker i usually get a true dark dark 2nd line for 2 days then it starts to fade again. I ve not really used them before so a bit clueless. The line does fade away after ovulation well they do for me.
I keep thinking i ll get a positive soon because the lines will get darker on the wondfo opks but then the next one will be very faint. â i continue to test because i want to make sure i am not. Mine today was quite strong but a bit lighter than the control line not sure if this means i m almost due to ovulate or if it s just negative until it s as strong or stronger than the control line. Then after a day or two or three of very dark lines you ll get another fainter day.
Does that mean that the first day of negative opks after a positive opk is the actual day of ovulation. If the faint line isn t as dark as the control test line then it means negative which means you are not ovulating but they do tend to get darker day by day.
